Many of our Alimni are currently serving in senior executive roles for both startups and billion dollar public companies. Build a relationship with our candidates to help them better understand their motivations, options, and interests while developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities to win an opportunity and make an immediate impact.

The Alliance Way

To build a corporate ready candidate requires a process. We call it the Alliance Way. The Alliance Way is an integrated four step process:

  • Select
  • Develop 
  • Mentor
  • Prepare

Select

We select ONLY the Top 10% of JMO transitioning service members. This requires a review of your performance reports and academic transcripts. Additionally, we will conduct multiple phone interviews to better understand your goals and interests. If selected, you receive a signed letter from our CEO, John Todd, welcoming you into the program.

Development

Upon selection, you enter into our development and mentorship program. You are enrolled in our self-paced training program where you will receive virtual classroom instruction while interacting and networking with other candidates. We provide individual coaching sessions where we review business case studies to develop your critical thinking skills.

Mentorship

With your development on-going, we provide mentorship. We want to understand your motivations and interests, while offering guidance based on ourexperience. Every individual is different – we want to ensure your experience is contoured to your individual needs, These interactions are critical to your success by helping you understand your career alternatives.

JMOs have many career alternatives. Understanding your options is critical to choosing your next opportunity. Examples of career alternatives include but are not limited to:

Prepare

Preparation is focused on participation in our Virtual Hiring Conferences (VHCs). We prepare your resume in an easy to read, standardized format. This helps an interviewer easily connect the value of your military experiences and skills to the needs and skills of the opportunity. Additionally, we conduct mock interviews to help you best articulate how your military experience adds value to a prospective business. This facilitates common understanding of each parties needs.

Connecting Candidates to Corporate Partners

Our corporate partners are a select group of businesses looking to hire candidates like yourself.

To connect our candidates to Corporate Partners, we conduct VHCs. VHCs are 5 days in duration beginning on Sunday night and ending Thursday evening. On Tuesday and Wednesday you interview with our Corporate Partners. Each candidate who participates is slated for no less than 6 interviews. We collect feedback from both candidates and corporate partners to facilitate the need for post conference follow ups. If a follow up is required, then the Alliance team coordinates with both partners on availability, whether virtually or on-site. If an offer is extended, we provide guidance on the types of compensation and benefits to help you understand the details.
