WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO USE ALLIANCE?
From my very first phone call with an Alliance recruiter, I felt that he and the rest of the Alliance team were genuinely interested in assisting me with my transition. After speaking to several other firms, I began to believe that JMO recruiting firms were solely concerned with their bottom lines. WHY DID YOU DECIDE ON A TRADITIONAL CANDIDATE PARTNERSHIP?
For me, the decision was an easy one. Alliance provided me the ability to remove the anxiety and fear from my transition equation. Although some individuals may feel “boxed in” by the exclusivity format, I was comforted in knowing that I would receive world-class training, incredible resume preparation, and ultimately be exposed to a series of incredible companies.
In recent years, I have witnessed many peers attempt to tackle their transitions on their own, and all too often these individuals became overwhelmed in the process and unfortunately failed to acquire the opportunities they desired for them and their families. Thankfully, the Alliance model prevents this from occurring.
HOW WAS THE CHOICE OF CAREER OPPORTUNITIES?
Upon my arrival at the conference, I was initially surprised by how many of the companies on my interview lineup I had never heard of. However, while conducting company research and listening to the Alliance opportunity briefs, I quickly began to realize that the Alliance team had sincerely listened to my desires and identified my skill-sets because many of the opportunities proved to be great fits. Furthermore, Alliance even allowed me to withdraw from one company interview that I felt was not a correct fit. This flexibility by their staff proved to me that their team did in fact care more for the future success and happiness of their candidates than the revenue of a placement.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO FUTURE TRANSITIONING JMOs?
Do not assume anything. The transition process can prove far more demanding than one expects, but thankfully Alliance has the experience, relationships, and dedicated staff to assist you through this life changing period. By entrusting my transition to the Alliance team, I was able to open my eyes to opportunities I did not know existed or for which I felt qualified.
